NANAIMO — Another local school is on Island Health’s school exposure list.
Cedar elementary school experienced two COVID-19 exposure events on Feb. 22 and 23 according to a late-night tweet from SD68.
According to the district, Island Health has completed contact tracing and all affected people have received a notification from the health authority.
It’s the second straight day where a Nanaimo school was added to the exposure event list.
Dover Bay secondary, Uplands Park and McGirr elementary schools were added on Thursday, Feb. 25. Each had a single exposure event.
Mountain View elementary, Aspengrove school and Ladysmith secondary are the other schools on the mid-Island who have had COVID-19 exposure events announced in the last week.
