Rounding up the BIGGEST stories from the Rock World
(May 20 – 26)
Canadian Rock Duo Death From Above 1979 are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album by venturing on a North American tour!
Originally, it looked like the boys snubbed the West Coast, but a SECOND announcement made a day after the original, showed they’ll be coming to our region this fall as well.
Catch DFA 1979 in Vancouver (Nov. 16) or Victoria (Nov.17) & relive the chaos of You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine below:
For the first time in 28 years, SUBLIME fans are being treated to new music.
Not since the days of “Sublime with Rome” has there been much to look forward to from that camp, but after playing a couple shows with their new front man, it seems the group is ready to pick things back up and start writing new, original material again.
Oh, and by the way, their new front man is not just anyone. It’s late Sublime singer Bradley Nowell’s son, Jakob.
And speaking of 90’s bands reuniting… Jane’s Addiction have kicked off their UK/European Tour for the summer.
This tour will be the first time the original Jane’s Addiction lineup hits the road together since 2010. They toured in 2022 but had a replacement for guitarist Dave Navarro who was out with health issues. But now that’s he’s back the boys are looking better than ever and even debuted a brand new song, Imminent Redemption, which you can hear below.
