Rounding up the BIGGEST stories from the Rock World
(May 27 – June 2)
Have you used TICKETMASTER to purchase seats at a rock show recently? You may want to keep an eye on this story if so: as first reported by the New York Times, Ticketmaster was the victim of a cyberattack this week wherein criminals made off with personal data from some Ticketmaster customers.
No word on if Canadians sepeicifalyl have been affected by this but, being that Ticketmaster is a global company, it is entirely possible our information was included in the data breach.
The Hackers are currently trying to sell the data back to Ticketmaster for a $500,000 USD ransom, no word yet on if the company is willing to negotiate.
Fans in attendance of a THE PRETTY RECKLESS show this week certainly got their money’s worth…
The band has been tasked with the great honour of opening up for AC/DC on their current tour, but vocalist Taylor Momsen opened a recent show in an unexpected way: by getting bit by a bat during a song.
Turns out it was an accident and not an homage to OZZY.
Were you one of the lucky ones who caught PEARL JAM in Vancouver last month as they kicked off their Dark Matter Tour?
I’ve only heard great things about the show from the people who did get a chance to go, and the great news just keeps flowing too. Pearl Jam played their final Spring US show this past Thursday night at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena and they debuted a brand new cover track for fans:
Eddie Vedder has covered the Nine Inch Nails song live at solo shows before, but this past Thursday was the first time he performed it live during a Pearl Jam show.
Should they keep it in the set? Let us know in the comments…
